About Butterfly Stitches
I (Connie Ewbank) owned a quilt and cross stitch shop (Quilt N Stitch) in St Louis MO for 12 years. We taught lots of classes, many of which were our own designs. And we began to publish these designs in pattern and book form. I also purchased a separate counted cross stitch shop and designed and taught in that area of needlework, too.
In early fall 2004 I closed both shops and moved to the Baton Rouge area. I am continuing to teach and design patterns for both quilting and counted cross stitch. Since there is a quilt shop in Louisiana named Quilt N Stitch, and since I had already been publishing cross stitch patterns under the name Butterfly Stitches, I decided to rename all my quilting and cross stitch designs under the same name, that is, Butterfly Stitches.
Teaching has taken me to many places around the Missouri, Ohio, Illinois and Kansas areas, and as far away as Monterrey Mexico. And now I have taught in Louisiana and Mississippi. I have taught at both local and regional EGA meetings, local ANG meetings, and am currently a GSQA (Gulf States Quilting Association) circuit teacher. I have also taught for 8 years at the National Counted Cross Stitch show at Rockome Gardens, Arcola IL. If you are interested in having me teach in your area. please feel free to contact me.
